“Mindfulness has to do with waking up and living in harmony with oneself and with the world. It’s examining who we are, constantly questioning our views of the world and our place in it, while cultivating appreciation for the fullness of each moment we are alive. It is the direct opposite of taking life for granted. It is empowering as well, because paying attention in this way opens channels to deep reservoirs of creativity, intelligence, imagination, clarity, determination, choice and wisdom within us. “

A Natural Breathing Space
I’m Alison and it’s my passion to introduce people to the benefits of Mindful Photography. It’s a way of slowing down, getting outside, appreciating the world around you and encouraging your creativity in a gentle manner. It’s my natural breathing space in the everyday and can be yours too.
I introduce you to the basic concepts of mindfulness and support you in exploring your own thoughts, preconceptions and automatic thought processes and provide you with some new tools with which to improve your own well-being.
I’m an accredited Mindfulness Meditation teacher and a trained Natural Mindfulness guide so I’m confident that I can help you gain the most from your time spent with me on a mindful photowalk.
No fancy equipment is required, in fact the simpler the camera or phone camera, the better, as it stops you being concerned with settings and the desire to take a fantastic photo every time. The aim is not to take technically perfect photos nor to create award winning images, but more to enjoy the process and not to worry about the outcome. It’s time just for you to explore your creativity in a gentle, mindful manner.
When you meet Alison for a photowalk, you can be assured of a friendly yet professional welcome. Alison is passionate about the benefits of mindfulness, having studied it and followed this path in her own life for several years, which makes her ideally placed to share her knowledge with others. Alison is also a talented photographer who thrives in being outdoors. She is the ideal person to help you to develop your own path to mental resilience.
